The Bee Meadow School PTA coordinates a program for book donations to our library in honor of your child's birthday or anyone special to you.  We invite parents, family members, and staff to donate a book to the library using one of the following methods:

1. Purchase a hardcover book to honor your child and help build a strong library collection.  You are welcome to call to see whether this title is already part of the Bee Meadow School Library collection.  We will then process the book and add a special bookplate commemorating the birthday.  Send the book to the library with the necessary information to ensure the accuracy of the bookplate.

2. Send a check in the amount of $15.00 made payable to BMS-PTA Birthday Book Club with the necessary information to the library.  A PTA Birthday Book Club chair member, in consultation with the Library Staff, will purchase a book for you based upon a selection of current titles that are needed by the library.

No matter which way the book is purchased, your child will be the first to check this book out after it has been processed.  In addition, your book will be acknowledged with a special bookplate, a certificate, and a special place in the library for all to use.

Return Library Books On Time!

1. Each student has a day during the week to return the library book or books they checked out the previous week. This is a homework assignment. 2. It is also a library assignment to READ the book or books during the week it was borrowed. Students may renew a book for up to three weeks unless another student is waiting for it. 3. Second through fifth grade students are given the opportunity to borrow up to two books.  They may, however, select only one if they choose.  We are encouraging the students to borrow books that they will read.
